JBKLAB will sell oriental medicine granule products developed and produced at a pharmaceutical factory dedicated to oriental medicine in Hwasun, Jeollanam-do, starting next month. JBKLAB is a company that operates CellMed, a health functional food brand representing the pharmacy channel, and the product to be released this time will also be sold through more than 2,700 CellMed full-member pharmacies nationwide.
There are about 20 kinds of new products. They include Loraphosin capsules, Tricodone capsules, Picobazole granules, Thermacin granules, and Magnolane granules.
The Hwasun Oriental Medicine research team prepared the product with the goal of minimizing damage to the main herb and maximizing the hint of herbal medicine. To this end, JBKLAB's own extraction and decompression concentration technology were applied to the existing oriental medicine manufacturing technology. The vacuum drying method and nanotechnology considering bioavailability were also used.
"The new oriental medicine granule product has a strong taste and aroma compared to other companies' products, so that it feels like a live medicine," a laboratory official said. "As a result of our own analysis, we showed excellent results not only in the content of active ingredients but also in evaluating anti-inflammatory, anti- ulcer, antibacterial, and antiviral immune activities." "More than 50% of lactose and corn starch are added in the manufacturing process of Japan's largest oriental medicine pharmaceutical company's granule," he added. "On the other hand, this new product contains natural fiber and polysaccharide, which are favored by intestinal beneficial bacteria, instead of corn and lactose that are commonly used."
"Cellmed has been striving to become a world-class bio healthcare company through the scientific development of natural products and herbal medicine," said Dr. Jang Bong-geun, CEO of JBKLAB. "We will continue to work hard to become a brand that customers can trust." Meanwhile, JBKLAB acquired Korea Inspharm, which is certified as a manufacturing quality control (GMP) in August last year, and merged it in April this year.
